Why Great Girls Global (3G)
The Problem
Women are 35 % more likely to live in poverty than men. Women of color even more likely.
Sixty - seven percent of women report needing more confidence in order to be a lead in their respective industries and communities.
Forty-two percent of women lack financial security, with only 18 % of millennial women demonstrating financial literacy.
The Program & Impact
We support young women ages 16- 25 and Gen Z 12- 15 by giving them the tools for global greatness through educational programming in leadership development, entrepreneurship (we dabble into financial literacy), and community service. The results and impact are that the young women have more confidence in their ability to lead, have financial security and the acumen to maintain a good quality of life, and have resources to give back to their communities through service or philanthropy.

Our Story
Founder, Ashley Martin, envisions a world where every young woman thrives, is self-sufficient, but also interdependent.
After serving 10 years in the public-school system, Ashley saw the needs that existed for so many but could not be fully addressed. On a weekend girls' trip, she discussed an idea with a few friends to bring the young women in their lives together for an intimate, in-depth weekend retreat to equip them with some tools needed to enter adulthood successfully. Growing personally, gaining financially, and giving back to their communities are among the key tools needed to be a productive member of society. That intimate weekend evolved into a larger vision expressed through Great Girls Global (3G) with the goal of seeing young people all over the world reaching their full potential. |
